Cody Rhodes Set for His 100th WWE PLE Match at Crown Jewel as Randy Orton Nears 200

When Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton meet in a Last Man Standing match at Crown Jewel on November 7, Rhodes will be wrestling his 100th match on a WWE Pay-Per-View or Premium Live Event. Orton, who is on the other side of the ring, is closing in on 200.
Here are the numbers behind the milestone, and how two very different careers ended up meeting at the same point.

Cody Rhodes: a tale of two runs
Rhodes' first WWE Pay-Per-View match came at Survivor Series in November 2007. His first run, which ended when he left WWE in 2016, accounts for 62 of his 99 PLE matches, and the record from that era is 21 wins and 41 losses. He was a solid midcard act for most of it, often on the losing side of big multi-man matches and title feuds.
Since he came back at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, it has been a different story. In 37 PLE matches he is 26–11, with two WrestleMania main event wins and a run as Undisputed WWE Champion. His 100th PLE match is also his first ever televised Last Man Standing match.
Randy Orton: approaching 200
Orton's numbers are on another level. Crown Jewel will be his 197th WWE PLE match, after more than two decades as one of the company's most reliable big-match performers. His record in PLE singles matches is an even 56–56 with three draws, a sign of how many of those matches came against the very top of the card, from Triple H and John Cena to Edge and CM Punk.
He needs three more after Crown Jewel to reach 200. With Survivor Series on November 28, the Royal Rumble in early 2027 and WrestleMania 43 in April, he could get there by WrestleMania season if he stays on the big shows.
Cody vs. Orton at PLEs
Rhodes and Orton have been on opposite sides at a PLE seven times, and Orton leads 4–3. That includes the 2009 Royal Rumble, the triple threat at WrestleMania 26, Orton's singles win at Vengeance 2011 and his Elimination Chamber win this February. Rhodes' wins came at Survivor Series 2011, in the 2025 King of the Ring final at Night of Champions and at WrestleMania 42 in April.
A win in Riyadh would tie it at 4–4, on Rhodes' 100th night on the big stage. For the full story of the rivalry, read Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton: the full history, and for the rest of the card, our Crown Jewel 2026 preview.
