Chelsea Green is still WWE Women's Champion, Michin and B-Fab are the new Women's Tag Team Champions, and Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton is now set for Crown Jewel in a Last Man Standing match. Here is everything that happened on SmackDown on October 23, 2026, from Toyota Arena in Ontario, California.

SmackDown results (October 23, 2026)

  • WWE Women's Championship: Chelsea Green (c) def. Roxanne Perez
  • Street Fight: Blake Monroe def. Giulia
  • WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Michin & B-Fab def. Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley (c) to win the titles
  • The MFTs vs. Shinsuke Nakamura & Kyoki: did not take place, the teams brawled before the bell
  • Trick Williams & Rey Fenix vs. Sami Zayn & Johnny Gargano: no contest
  • Trick Williams, Rey Fenix & Penta def. Sami Zayn, Johnny Gargano & Ricky Saints

Sami Zayn opens the show

Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn opened SmackDown with Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae, talking about his face-off with Roman Reigns on Raw. Rey Fenix came out and said he had no problem with them, but made it clear he would stand by his brother Penta. Then United States Champion Trick Williams demanded a shot at Zayn's title. When Williams went after Gargano, Zayn hit him from behind. General Manager Nick Aldis responded by making a tag team main event: Zayn and Gargano vs. Williams and Fenix.

Chelsea Green retains the WWE Women's Championship

Roxanne Perez came out with The Judgment Day and spent much of the match working over Green's arm, at one point sending her into the ring post. Raquel Rodriguez and IYO SKY both got involved on the outside, and when Perez went for her Pop-Rox finisher, Green countered it into the Unprettier for the pin.

Afterwards, Liv Morgan and The Judgment Day attacked Green and SKY. Tiffany Stratton ran out, hit Morgan with her Money in the Bank briefcase and tried to cash in on the Women's World Champion, but Perez and Rodriguez dragged Morgan out of the ring before the match could start. Backstage, Green, Stratton and SKY celebrated getting one over on The Judgment Day.

What it means: Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green for the women's Crown Jewel Championship on November 7 is still on. The bigger story is Stratton. She now has her sights set on Morgan, and a champion who just wrestled a hard match at Crown Jewel would be a very tempting target.

Blake Monroe beats Giulia in a Street Fight

Giulia attacked Monroe during her entrance and the fight went everywhere: up the ramp, through the backstage area and back to the ring. A kendo stick, a trash can, a fire extinguisher and a pile of chairs all came into play, and Giulia even hit a superplex off the ring steps onto the chairs. She came close with her Arrivederci knee, but Monroe hit the Neutralizer for the win.

That is two straight wins for Monroe over Giulia, after she also beat her on October 2. It is hard to see this rivalry ending here.

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton is official for Crown Jewel

Randy Orton came out to talk about last week, when Rhodes punted Baron Corbin. WWE says Corbin is out indefinitely with a cervical muscle strain, an orbital bone contusion and blurred vision. Orton said Rhodes would hesitate if he ever had the chance to punt him. Rhodes came out, called Orton a coward and listed the people Orton has punted over the years, including Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Rhodes' own father, Dusty Rhodes.

Rhodes asked for a Last Man Standing match, and Nick Aldis made it official for Crown Jewel.

Michin and B-Fab win the Women's Tag Team Championship

The biggest surprise of the night. Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley, who won the titles from Fatal Influence on October 9, lost them after just two weeks. Late in the match, Michin distracted the referee, Jade Cargill hit Paxley in the face, and Michin finished her with a Styles Clash for the pin. It is the first WWE tag team title win for both Michin and B-Fab.

It is a big week for Michin. Earlier this week, her sister Kris married former WWE Champion Big E, and now she leaves SmackDown with tag team gold.

The MFTs and Shinsuke Nakamura brawl

The MFTs vs. Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki never got started. Kyoki grabbed Haku's walking stick during the entrances, a brawl broke out and officials had to separate the two teams. This rivalry will have to be settled another night.

Kevin Owens and CM Punk set a date

Nick Aldis sat down with Kevin Owens and CM Punk. The two traded insults but kept their hands to themselves, and Aldis confirmed their match for two weeks from now in Brooklyn, New York.

Main event: Trick Williams, Rey Fenix and Penta win

The original tag match lasted less than a minute, ending in a no contest when Ricky Saints attacked Fenix. Penta ran out to make the save and challenged Zayn, Gargano and Saints to a six-man tag match on the spot. Williams cut off Zayn's finisher, then pinned Saints with the Book End, and Williams, Fenix and Penta closed the show celebrating in the ring. Williams will now challenge Zayn for the WWE Championship on next week's SmackDown.

What it means and what's next

  • Crown Jewel now has three matches: Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn, Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green, and Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match. See the full card in our Crown Jewel 2026 preview.
  • Tiffany Stratton's Money in the Bank briefcase is now the biggest threat in the women's division.
  • Trick Williams gets his shot at Sami Zayn's WWE Championship next week. A loss for Zayn would blow up the Crown Jewel main event, which is exactly why it is worth watching.
  • Penta, the men's Money in the Bank holder, is now in Zayn's business on SmackDown as well as Raw, a few days after confronting both Zayn and Reigns.
