Rusev, Ethan Page and Big Cass Stable Rumor: Report Says Plan Has Not Been Shared With Them

A rumored new WWE stable made up of Rusev, Ethan Page and Big Cass may be further away than some fans think. According to Fightful Select, the idea had not been passed on to them as of last week.
The report says: "As of this past week, the rumored potential stable of Big Cass, Rusev, and Ethan Page had not been relayed to them." Rusev himself has also said he knew nothing about it.
Where the rumor came from
The talk started with Self Made PW, which posted on X that WWE was planning to officially form an on-screen stable of the three men "in the near future." It is a single report, and WWE has not announced or teased any such group.
Fightful's update does not confirm or deny that WWE has the idea in mind. It only says the plan had not been shared with the wrestlers. Full details are behind the Fightful Select paywall.
Rusev: "I have not heard anything about this"
Rusev was asked about the rumor on TMZ's Inside the Ring. He called it "internet booking" and said: "I have not heard anything about this, but also I don't know if I'm okay with it either."
Rusev also pointed to his injury, an illness and his new child, and said Page had not checked on him while he was away. That is an interesting detail. Rusev and Page were a regular team on Raw before his time off, so any cold feelings could be real, or could be a sign of a storyline in the making.
How the three got linked
Page moved to the Raw roster after WrestleMania 42. He and Rusev teamed on Raw through the spring and summer, including a July 20 tag match against Chad Gable and Penta. In a September interview with TMZ, Page explained why he wanted the team: "I just see way too many benefits from us working together than us not working together."
Rusev was then sidelined. He was hurt in July, has been off television due to injury and later got sick.
Big Cass came back to WWE on the Raw after SummerSlam, attacking Je'Von Evans. Last week on Raw, Big Cass and Page teamed up and beat Chad Gable and Dragon Lee. That win is the main on-screen link between the two.
What to watch on Raw tonight
Page gets a big chance tonight. He challenges Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship on Raw in Brooklyn. The show has a special 6 pm ET (3 pm PT) start on Netflix. You can see the full card in our Raw tonight preview, which also covers John Cena's Raw return.
Things to look for:
- Does Big Cass come out with Page or get involved in the title match?
- Does Rusev appear, and how does he react to Page if he does?
- If Page wins the title, a stable around a champion would be an easy story for WWE to tell.
Our view: The pieces are there. Page and Rusev already have history as a team, and Page and Big Cass just won together. But the reports so far point the other way. The wrestlers reportedly have not been told anything, and Rusev sounds unsure. For now, treat this as a rumor, and watch Page's title match tonight for the first real clue.
