WWE Night of Champions 2026 Review: Oba Femi Crowned King, Iyo Sky Crowned Queen, and a Big Title Change

WWE Night of Champions 2026 Preview

WWE Night of Champions 2026 Review: A Good show with one big surprise.

The event took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It had six matches and three title matches. I’m giving it a 7 out of 10. It was good in places, but not one of the best WWE shows of the year. The main event delivered a real shock, and that’s what people will remember most.

King of the Ring Final: Oba Femi vs Jey Uso

Oba Femi beat Jey Uso to become the new King of the Ring. Femi looked powerful and dominant. Jey fought hard and hit a few big moves, but Femi kept coming back. The match ended when Femi hit his Fall From Grace for the pin. It lasted about eight minutes.

My thoughts: This was the right result. Femi needed a strong win to feel like a real threat. He looked like a star. Jey tried his best, but this was Femi’s night.
What it means: Femi now gets to pick which champion he wants to face at SummerSlam. Expect a big announcement soon.

Queen of the Ring Final: Iyo Sky vs Liv Morgan

Iyo Sky beat Liv Morgan to become the new Queen of the Ring. This was one of the better matches on the show. Sky sold a knee injury well after Liv attacked it. In the end, Sky hit her Over The Moonsault for the win. The match went around 15 minutes.

My thoughts: Both women worked hard. Sky looked strong and the fans like her. Liv played her cocky heel role well.
What it means: Sky gets a Women’s World Title shot at SummerSlam against Liv. That match should be good.

United States Championship: Trick Williams vs Ricky Saints

Trick Williams beat Ricky Saints to keep the US Title. The match went about 11 minutes. Trick got the win with his Trick Shot. Lil Yachty got involved after the match and hit a People’s Elbow on Ricky.

My thoughts: It was an okay match. Trick kept the title as expected. The crowd was quiet for a lot of it.

Women’s United States Championship: Tiffany Stratton vs Jade Cargill

Tiffany Stratton beat Jade Cargill to keep the Women’s US Title. Jade looked strong for most of the match. Interference from Chelsea Green and Charlotte Flair helped Tiffany win with her Prettiest Moonsault Ever. The match went about eight minutes.

My thoughts: The match was average. The outside stuff took away from it. It sets up more story between Jade and Charlotte.

Steel Cage Match: Seth Rollins vs Bron Breakker

Seth Rollins beat Bron Breakker in a Steel Cage Match. They went almost 20 minutes and used a lot of weapons. Rollins won with an Avalanche Stomp after a hard fight. Bron kicked out of a lot of big moves before the finish.

My thoughts: This was one of the best matches of the night. Both guys looked good. Rollins got the win he needed after being betrayed by The Vision.

Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes vs Gunther vs Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn beat Cody Rhodes and Gunther to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. This was the main event and it went almost 19 minutes. All three men had strong moments. In the end, Sami countered a move and pinned Cody to win the title.

My thoughts: This was a very good triple threat match. Sami winning was a real surprise and the fans loved it. It was a feel-good moment to close the show. What it means: Sami is now the WWE Champion for the first time. This changes a lot going into SummerSlam. Cody and Gunther both looked strong even in defeat.

Final Thoughts

  • Night of Champions was a good show, not a great one. The main event and the steel cage match were the clear highlights. Oba Femi and Iyo Sky both had strong nights and now have big opportunities ahead.
  • The biggest moment was Sami Zayn winning the WWE Title. That’s what everyone will be talking about.
  • The crowd was quieter than usual for a Saudi show. It felt like the microphones weren’t picking up the noise well.
  • Overall, the show did its job. It gave us new King and Queen of the Ring winners and a new WWE Champion.
  • SummerSlam now feels more interesting.
