Roman Reigns Makes His Return
The biggest draw of the evening is the return of World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns to Monday Night Raw. The Tribal Chief has been dominant since retaining his title at Clash in Italy, but tonight he steps back into the weekly spotlight with plenty of Bloodline business to handle.
After Jey Uso came up short in the King of the Ring finals against Oba Femi at Night of Champions, all eyes will be on how Reigns reacts to his cousin’s failure. With Jacob Fatu, Jimmy Uso, and Jey all potentially in the building, expect significant movement in the ongoing family civil war.
Oba Femi’s SummerSlam Decision
One of the most anticipated moments of the night belongs to the new King of the Ring. Oba Femi is set to announce which champion he will challenge at SummerSlam — World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns or WWE Champion Sami Zayn.
The Ruler has looked unstoppable since his shocking victory over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42. Choosing Reigns would mean stepping into the biggest spotlight possible, while going after Sami might offer a faster path to gold. Whatever decision he makes, it will set the tone for one of the biggest matches of the summer.
Chad Gable vs JD McDonagh
One match is already confirmed for tonight. Chad Gable will face JD McDonagh after some heated words with Dominik Mysterio last week. Dirty Dom volunteered his Judgment Day stablemate instead of stepping up himself, adding extra personal stakes to this singles bout.
Expect strong technical wrestling and plenty of interference possibilities as these two talented performers clash.
Additional Storylines to Watch
There’s plenty more to look forward to as the show unfolds:

- Seth Rollins is looking to move forward after his steel cage victory over Bron Breakker. With The Vision seemingly in disarray, what’s next for The Visionary?
- Liv Morgan continues dealing with Danhausen’s curse after her loss to IYO SKY. The Genius of the Sky has already challenged her to a Women’s World Championship rematch at SummerSlam.
- The Street Profits are the new World Tag Team Champions. How will they navigate the landscape now that The Vision is struggling?
A Special Night on the Boardwalk

Atlantic City has deep wrestling roots, having hosted WrestleMania IV and V decades ago. Tonight’s double taping brings live WWE action back to the iconic Boardwalk Hall in a big way. The special early start time is due to the SmackDown taping that follows, but it also gives fans a full evening of wrestling in a venue that hasn’t seen this kind of spotlight in nearly 20 years.
Tune in at 6 PM ET on Netflix for what should be a memorable edition of Monday Night Raw as the summer builds toward SummerSlam.
