What the report says
WrestleVotes reported on Fightful Select that, as of Monday, the plan was for the men's WarGames match to be five-on-five. Dave Meltzer has also said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Roman Reigns will be part of a five-on-five WarGames match.
Some fans had wondered if the match could end up being four-on-four after the Raw segment between the two groups, but the reported plan is for teams of five.
The two teams
- The Bloodline: Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. The fifth member has not been revealed.
- 946: Royce Keys, Carmelo Hayes, Bronco Nima and Lucien Price, also with one spot left to fill.
There has been speculation that Jacob Fatu could return to join his family as The Bloodline's fifth member, but that has not been reported as a plan.
How we got here
The Usos and 946 have been fighting for weeks on Raw. On the October 19 episode, Royce Keys led 946 through the crowd, Solo Sikoa tripped Keys, and a brawl broke out with The Usos. 946 had the numbers, and Carmelo Hayes stomped down Jimmy Uso, until Roman Reigns came out to make the save and speared Bronco Nima. The show ended with Reigns, Solo and The Usos standing together in the ring.
That image, the original Bloodline family back on the same side, is exactly what WarGames is made for.
What is WarGames?
WarGames is one of the most famous match types in wrestling. Two rings are placed side by side and surrounded by one steel cage. The match starts with one wrestler from each team, and the rest enter one at a time at timed intervals. The match cannot be won until every member of both teams has entered, and then the first pinfall or submission wins it for the whole team.
A busy month for Roman Reigns
Reigns already has a big match before WarGames. He faces Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn at Crown Jewel on November 7 for the men's Crown Jewel Championship, so he will go into Survivor Series just three weeks later. See the full card in our Crown Jewel 2026 preview.
Our take
WWE has a simple and strong story here: a family that fell apart coming back together against a new group that wants to take its place. The big question is the fifth member on each side. If Jacob Fatu is not back in time, the choice for The Bloodline's final spot could be the most talked-about moment of the build.
We will update this story as soon as WWE makes the match official.
