WWE Women's Tag Team Championship: Every Champion, Most Reigns and All the Records

The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship has been around for less than eight years, but it has already changed hands 39 times. On October 23, Michin and B-Fab became the newest champions, beating Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley on SmackDown.

That loss ended a piece of history for Bliss, who had just won the title for a fifth time. Here is the full story of the championship: every champion, who holds the records and where the title stands now.

The title at a glance

• Introduced: February 17, 2019, at Elimination Chamber
• First champions: Bayley and Sasha Banks
• Reigns so far: 39, by 29 different teams
• Different women to hold it: 44
• Current champions: Michin and B-Fab, since October 23, 2026

It is WWE's only women's tag team title and can be defended on Raw, SmackDown and NXT, which is a big reason it moves around so much.

Most reigns by a wrestler

• Raquel Rodriguez: 6 reigns
• Asuka: 5 reigns
• Alexa Bliss: 5 reigns
• Liv Morgan: 4 reigns
• Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, IYO SKY, Sasha Banks and Nikki Cross: 3 reigns each

Raquel Rodriguez is the record holder with six reigns: one with Aliyah, four with Liv Morgan and one with Roxanne Perez. Asuka and Alexa Bliss are tied behind her on five.

Alexa Bliss: five reigns, four partners

Bliss stands out for a different reason. No woman has won the title with more different partners. Her five reigns came with four of them:

• Nikki Cross: 2019 and 2020
• Asuka: 2022
• Charlotte Flair: 2025
• Tatum Paxley: 2026

Raquel Rodriguez and Asuka both won it with three different partners. Bliss has proven she can win the title with almost anyone, which says a lot about how WWE has used her in the tag division.

Most reigns as a team

• Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez: 4 reigns
• The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane): 3 reigns
• Bayley & Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross, Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler, Damage CTRL, and Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill: 2 reigns each

The Kabuki Warriors are the most successful team by total time, with more than 320 days as champions across their three reigns.

Other records

• Longest team reign: The Kabuki Warriors' first reign in 2019 and 2020, which WWE recognizes as 180 days
• Longest reign by one wrestler: Bianca Belair, 177 days, from August 2024 to February 2025 (with Jade Cargill and later Naomi)
• Shortest reign: Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria, less than a day, after winning at WrestleMania 41
• Most combined days: Asuka, with more than 370 days across her five reigns
• Oldest champion: Lita, at 47
• Youngest champion: Roxanne Perez, at 23

* WWE recognizes The Kabuki Warriors' first reign as 180 days, because the show where they lost the titles aired later than it was taped.

The title was vacated twice: in May 2022, after Naomi and Sasha Banks walked out, and in May 2023, after Liv Morgan was injured. Both times, a new team won the vacant titles.

Why it changes hands so often

Thirty-nine reigns in under eight years works out to a new champion roughly every ten weeks. Part of that is how WWE books the division: tag teams are often thrown together for a storyline, and the belts are used to set up singles feuds when those teams split. Bliss is the best example, winning with four partners who mostly came together for a few months at a time.

The runs that stick are the real teams. The Kabuki Warriors and Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez have the most reigns between them, and both were established acts before they won the belts. That is why Michin and B-Fab, who have teamed together before, have a real chance to give the title a longer run.

What's next for the title

Michin and B-Fab are in their first reign, and their win came with help from Jade Cargill, so Bliss and Paxley have a clear reason for a rematch. Raquel Rodriguez, meanwhile, holds the Women's Intercontinental Championship right now, but with six tag reigns to her name, she will not be far from these belts for long.
