Jordynne Grace Still With WWE Despite Departure Rumors, Report Says

Jordynne Grace has not left WWE. That is the word from Fightful Select, which posted on X on Sunday, November 1, after fans began to speculate that she had quietly exited the company.

The talk started over the weekend when fans noticed there were no WWE references in Grace's X bio. According to Fightful, that is not new. "Jordynne Grace is not gone from WWE. WWE stuff has been out of her bio for months," the outlet wrote.

Bodybuilding is not the reason she is off TV

Some fans also linked her absence to her return to bodybuilding. Fightful pushed back on that as well. The report said "the bodybuilding has nothing to do with her being off TV," adding that she is able to do it because she is off TV.

Grace competed at the 2026 IBFF Heart of Texas show in September. She finished second and said she qualified for nationals. In a September 20 post on X, she wrote: "2nd place. But qualified for nationals and it was a very fair loss." She also said she prepped for four weeks in secret.

How we got here

Grace, a former three-time TNA Knockouts World Champion, signed with WWE in January 2025 and spent time in NXT. She moved to the main roster at the start of 2026 and was placed on SmackDown.

Her start was strong. She challenged Jade Cargill for the WWE Women's Championship in February. Then, in March, she suffered an ankle injury in a match with Zelina Vega and was reportedly out for about five weeks.

Since then, she has barely been used. Her last televised SmackDown match was against Tiffany Stratton on April 17. Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp said in a Q&A that she "has not got her wheels, like, moving since her injury earlier this year." Her most recent match was a loss to Kiana James on the June 18 episode of WWE Main Event.

The Ivy Nile plan and current creative status

There has been at least one idea to bring her back. Fightful Select reported that WWE discussed pairing Grace with Ivy Nile as a tag team, and that vignettes teasing the duo were filmed. Reports have tied the pairing to the trademarked name "Iron Built." None of those vignettes has aired, and no return date has been announced.

More recently, the picture looked less positive. In a WrestleVotes Q&A on October 20, JoeyVotes said: "The thing that I've heard recently is she's not in the creative plans. That doesn't mean they don't want plans for her." He pointed to how crowded the SmackDown women's division is right now.

So the reports line up on one point. Grace is still under WWE, but she is waiting for a spot to open up.

What it means and what to watch

In our view, this is a classic case of a quiet stretch being mistaken for an exit. A missing bio line and a bodybuilding show are not proof of a release, and the most direct report says she is still there. At the same time, a talent of her level going months without regular TV is a fair concern for fans who expected more after her title match in February.

  • SmackDown: Grace is a SmackDown talent, so any return or vignette would most likely air on Friday nights.
  • Ivy Nile vignettes: If the filmed teasers finally air, that would be the clearest sign the tag team idea is back on.
  • Big events ahead: With Crown Jewel 2026 on November 7 and Survivor Series after that, WWE has spots where new teams can be introduced. Nothing has been reported about Grace for either show.
  • Bodybuilding nationals: Grace said she qualified. If she competes, it should not be read as a sign she has left WWE, based on Fightful's report.
