WrestleMania 43: Date, Location, Venue and Latest Update
WrestleMania 43 is still headed to Saudi Arabia in April 2027, but the exact date is not locked in yet. According to Fightful Select, WWE has not finalized the dates, and with the security situation around Crown Jewel, it is not clear whether the plan to announce them during Crown Jewel week will still happen.
Here is everything we know about WrestleMania 43 so far: when it is, where it is, why it is in Riyadh and what is being planned for the card.
WrestleMania 43 at a glance
- City: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
- Reported dates: Saturday, April 10, and Sunday, April 11, 2027 (not officially announced)
- Venue: not announced yet
- Format: two nights, with stars from Raw and SmackDown
- How to watch: WWE's Premium Live Events stream on ESPN in the United States and Netflix in most other countries
When is WrestleMania 43?
WWE has only said April 2027. The specific dates of April 10 and 11 were reported by Brandon Thurston and John Pollock of POST Wrestling, and that lines up with when WrestleMania normally takes place. The same report said the 2027 Royal Rumble is expected on February 6.
The official announcement was expected at Crown Jewel in Riyadh on November 7. Fightful now reports that the dates are not final, so it is worth treating April 10 and 11 as likely but not confirmed until WWE says so.
Why is WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia?
WWE announced in September 2025 that WrestleMania 43 would be held in Riyadh, at a press conference featuring Triple H and Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Alalshikh. It will be the first WrestleMania held outside North America.
It was not always the plan. WrestleMania 43 was originally meant for Nissan Stadium in Nashville, and Nashville's tourism officials later confirmed that the 2027 date did not work out. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, WWE had been aiming to bring WrestleMania 44 to Saudi Arabia in 2028, but Alalshikh pushed for 2027 so that it would line up with the 300th anniversary of the founding of the first Saudi state.
It is part of WWE's long-term partnership with Saudi Arabia, which began in 2018. WWE already held the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, and Crown Jewel is set for the city on November 7.
Could WrestleMania 43 be moved?
WWE has given no sign that it plans to move WrestleMania 43. In September, PWInsider reported that Saudi representatives visited WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, to talk through the event, and that WWE has contingency plans for its Saudi shows, as it always does. WWE sources told PWInsider it was too early to pick any backup venues.
The security situation around Crown Jewel has raised the question again. There has been talk of Las Vegas and the Sphere as a backup, and Eric Bischoff said on his podcast that he would be shocked if the Sphere was not WWE's backup plan. But that is speculation, and Fightful has said it has no confirmation of it.
The more useful guide is Crown Jewel itself. WWE is still setting up for the show in Riyadh, and how that week goes will say a lot about how WWE feels about April. Follow the latest in our Crown Jewel 2026 status update.
What matches are planned for WrestleMania 43?
Nothing is official yet, and the road to WrestleMania does not really start until the Royal Rumble. As always, the Men's and Women's Royal Rumble winners will earn world championship matches.
The biggest report so far is that WWE is planning Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi as a main event. WrestleVotes reported it on Fightful Select, and Dave Meltzer reported that it is the expected direction for the Sunday main event, while stressing that it is not locked in. Read more in our Roman Reigns vs. Oba Femi report.
It makes sense on paper. Femi has had one of the best years of anyone on the roster, with two wins over Brock Lesnar, and a win over Reigns in Riyadh would make him a top star overnight. But a lot can change in five months, starting with Reigns vs. Sami Zayn at Crown Jewel and the WarGames matches at Survivor Series.
What happens next
The next big moment is Crown Jewel week. If WWE announces the WrestleMania 43 dates and venue then, it is a clear sign the Saudi plan is firm. If it stays quiet, expect more questions. We will update this page as soon as WWE confirms anything.
