CM Punk and Kevin Owens meet in a No Holds Barred match on SmackDown this Friday, November 6. It is the final SmackDown before Crown Jewel 2026 in Riyadh on Saturday, November 7.

The show airs at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network. This article is spoiler-free. The episode was taped earlier this week at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, so if you want the results now, read our SmackDown spoilers for November 6.

Start time, venue and how to watch

  • Date: Friday, November 6, 2026
  • Start time: 8 p.m. ET
  • Venue: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York (taped Monday, November 2, after Raw)
  • US: USA Network
  • Outside the US: Netflix in most countries, including Canada, the UK and India

SmackDown usually airs live on Fridays. This week WWE taped it on Monday so the roster could travel to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel.

Announced card

  • No Holds Barred: CM Punk vs. Kevin Owens

That is the only match WWE has officially announced. The stipulation was confirmed on the October 30 SmackDown. WWE has not listed any other matches or segments for Friday. As the go-home show, it should still include final words from the SmackDown names working Crown Jewel, but treat that as our expectation, not an announcement.

Why Punk and Owens are fighting

This feud has been building for months. On the August 21 SmackDown in Toronto, Owens challenged Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Punk retained after Sami Zayn hit Owens with the title, when Owens had refused to use it himself.

The tables turned on September 11 in Mexico City. Owens swung the title belt at Zayn but hit Punk instead. Zayn then landed the Helluva Kick and won the Undisputed WWE Championship. Each man now blames the other for being out of the title picture, and they have kept getting in each other's way since. With no rules, there is nothing to stop either man from settling it any way he can.

What it means for Crown Jewel

Punk vs. Owens is not part of the Crown Jewel card. That makes it a strong headliner for a go-home show: a big grudge match on free TV the night before the event, while the Saturday card stays focused on the champions.

Two Crown Jewel matches come straight out of SmackDown. Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn faces World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns for the men's Crown Jewel Championship. WWE Women's Champion Chelsea Green faces Women's World Champion Liv Morgan for the women's Crown Jewel Championship. Green retained against Nikki Bella last Friday, and Zayn retained against Trick Williams in a No Disqualification match on the same show. For the long story between Zayn and Reigns, see our Roman Reigns vs. Sami Zayn history.

The rest of the official Crown Jewel card is Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing match, and Bron Breakker and Austin Theory defending the World Tag Team Championship against Penta and Je'Von Evans. Crown Jewel starts at noon ET / 9 a.m. PT on Saturday. It streams on the ESPN App in the US and on Netflix internationally.

Our prediction

Prediction (CM Punk vs. Kevin Owens): we are not picking a winner this week. The show has already been taped and the result is public, so any pick from us would read as a spoiler. What we will say: a No Holds Barred match between two men who blame each other for losing the title should be the most physical match of the week. Expect weapons, and expect the finish to shape where the loser goes before Survivor Series on November 28.

Want to know how it ends? Our SmackDown spoilers have every result. Catch up on Monday's show with our Raw results for November 2.
